Veneers Shepshed
Veneers are thin, custom-made coverings that sit over the front surface of your teeth. They are a popular option if you are looking to change the shape, size, colour or overall look of your smile – especially when you want a more permanent result.
We offer high-quality porcelain and composite veneers, carefully designed to suit your face, bite and natural tooth structure.
What can veneers help with?
Veneers do not straighten teeth or change your bite – but they can help your smile look more even, balanced and confident.

Uneven, worn or chipped teeth

Staining that cannot be removed with whitening

Small gaps between teeth

Irregular shapes or lengths

Teeth that appear too small or misaligned

Shape your smile, your way

Types of veneers
Porcelain veneers
Crafted in a dental lab and bonded to your teeth. They are more durable, more stain-resistant, and often the best choice for longer-lasting results. These usually take two visits.
Composite veneers
Made from the same tooth-coloured resin used in composite bonding. They are sculpted directly onto your teeth in a single visit. Slightly less durable, but more affordable and easier to adjust or repair.
Are veneers right for me?
Veneers are best for people with healthy teeth and gums, who want to improve the appearance of their smile. If your teeth need structural repairs or your bite needs correcting, we may recommend orthodontic treatment or other options first.
We will always give you honest advice and help you find the right solution for your smile.
Looking after your veneers
Veneers are strong and built to last – but they still need the right care to keep them looking and feeling their best.
-
Brush twice a day with a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste
-
Clean between your teeth daily with floss or interdental brushes
-
Avoid biting into very hard foods or using your teeth to open things
-
Wear a night guard if you clench or grind your teeth
-
Come in for regular check-ups so we can keep an eye on everything
With good care, your veneers can stay smooth, stain-free and secure for years to come.
We will talk through what you would like to change, assess your teeth, and make sure veneers are suitable for you.
We take digital scans and plan the final look carefully – including colour, shape and symmetry. For porcelain veneers, we can even show you a preview or mock-up before starting.
A small amount of enamel is removed to make space for the veneers (less so with composite). This helps them sit naturally and bond securely.
Composite veneers are applied and shaped on the same day. Porcelain veneers are made in a lab and fitted at a second appointment.
We make final tweaks and polish the veneers for a smooth, natural finish. You will leave with a confident, refreshed smile.

The veneers process

Veneers vs composite bonding
Both composite bonding and veneers can improve the look of your teeth – but they work in slightly different ways. Here is how they compare, so you can see what might suit your smile, your goals and your budget.
Veneers
- Usually takes 2–3 visits
- Requires some enamel to be removed
- More durable and stain-resistant
- Longer-lasting with good care
- Better for bigger transformations
- Done in one visit
- No drilling or damage to the tooth
- More affordable
- Easy to adjust or repair
- Good for small tweaks
You might be wondering...
Can I have veneers on just one or two teeth?
Yes – they can be used to reshape a single tooth or as part of a wider smile improvement. We will design them to blend in naturally.
Will they look fake?
Not at all. We take time to get the colour, shape and texture right – so your veneers look like they belong to you, not a template.
Do veneers damage your teeth?
A thin layer of enamel is removed, but the tooth remains healthy underneath. We only go ahead if your teeth are suitable, and we always take a minimally-invasive approach.
Can I whiten my veneers?
No – veneers do not respond to whitening treatments. If you are planning to whiten your natural teeth, it is best to do it before getting veneers, so everything matches beautifully.
What happens if a veneer comes off or gets damaged?
Veneers are strong, but accidents can happen. If one chips or comes loose, get in touch – we can usually repair or replace it without much hassle. We are always here to help keep your smile looking its best.
